Assisted patent searches for research and innovation
Are you the beneficiary of a BRIDGE Proof of Concept grant? Are you the beneficiary of a BRIDGE Discovery grant?
If so, you could draw on the knowledge of a patent expert in the relevant field for a day of assisted patent searches. The expert will explain how the patent system works and carry out a search of public patent databases with you. He or she will also give you an overview of the state of the art in your field, help you decide whether your idea or invention is new, and advise you on the next steps.

Proof of Concept fellows can gain valuable insights into their technology sector and competitors with a day’s assisted patent landscape analysis. An expert will work with fellows to identify patent documents relevant to their technology sector. Appropriate tools and techniques will be used to analyse data and identify connections.
